Trusting your precious manuscript with someone else is a big deal. I want you to feel 100% confident, so let’s meet for a vibe check before getting started.

I’d love to know what you’re working on and which services I can provide. My goal is to develop an authentic, meaningful partnership with you, so we can make your baby shine.

  • Ah, the big ole edit! You’ve chosen wisely.

    You’ll receive a detailed letter that addresses every aspect of your manuscript: plot, subplots, setting, dialogue, characterization (motivations), and flow. I’ll read for consistency and will make substantive suggestions as needed in any/all of these categories. You’ll also receive your manuscript back, marked up with questions and areas to revisit. We’ll meet to discuss these suggested edits and I will be available if you’d like to ask follow up questions or discuss additional ideas.

  • This is a line-by-line review of your manuscript, where I read for language style and flow.

    You’ll receive your manuscript back, fully marked up. This edit includes a meeting to talk through any questions.

  • Is your manuscript almost complete? Do you need a meticulous eye to elevate it? Say no more. Note that this is not a style read. That’s a little more intense and falls under line editing.

    I’ll read for grammar, catch typos and fix any syntax issues. You’ll receive your manuscript back, fully marked up.

  • Also known as sensitivity reading.

    When you’re writing outside of your own experience—whether that’s sexuality, religion, disability, ethnicity, or otherwise—it’s best to be sure you’re writing respectfully. I read for LGBTQ+, autism, and ADHD.

    You’ll receive a letter summarizing my impressions with suggested revisions.

  • Need a gut check on your manuscript? I’d be happy to review it.

    You’ll receive a letter summarizing my impressions with general notes on plot, themes, characters, pacing, etc. I’ll note particular areas that may need revisiting.
